ANOTHER WONDERFUL YEAR IN GOD’S KINGDOM
December was a ‘fly-by’ for sure. Filled with great events, lots of family and friends, and of course, food and football. It is the one time of the year that ‘the world’ focuses for just a moment, or at least in some way, acknowledges Yeshua, our Messiah.
Some of the things for us in December included having our traditional Christmas family lunch at our home for 25 of the older generation, a Chanukah party for another 25 friends, a three-day visit by our two oldest sons, Jeremy and Ben, a Bris (ritual circumcision, see family album below) of our second great-grandson, and a sweet Christmas eve candlelight service.
As January unfolds, we’re dealing with some new medical opportunities (see below), speaking and teaching opportunities, and renewed vision for the work of the Kingdom. Thank you for your love and support, and we’re believing that 2023 will be the ‘best yet!’
ISRAEL UPDATES ISRAEL – OUR MINISTRY AT KING OF KINGS
Looking back on 2022 at King of Kings Ministry in Israel, on one level its challenging to believe what God accomplished, and on the other hand, He is incredibly faithful even in the fallout from the worldwide Covid pandemic, economic uncertainty, unprecedented immigration and threats of war. Consider the goodness of God:
- The Manna Kitchen served over 20,000 hot, Kosher meals to needy Israelis
- The Distribution Center served over 600 Jerusalem families with household necessities, food, toiletries and clothing
- The Anchor of Hope Counseling Center ministered to Israelis in over 700 sessions
- Redeemed in Zion provided appliances to over 20 families of new immigrants
- We were able to help over 100 Ukrainian families adjust to life in Israel – with rent, utilities, appliances, transportation and other forms of assistance in both Israel and Ukraine.
- We saw many new believes experience water immersion and spiritual growth
- Our Congregations have resumed meeting in person, and are generally thriving
- Funds are available to begin construction of the” Asian Prayer House” in our Jerusalem facility. Plans are being drawn and preparations being made.
All for the glory of God. He has used you to also help facilitate this ministry in Israel and Ukraine, and we remain deeply connected and involved in Israel’s ministry.
PRAYER NEED FOR MICHAEL
We have a special need and prayer request.
We’ve changed Michael’s Oncologist, and are very pleased with our ‘new’ Doctor. A few weeks ago, a CT scan revealed a few active cancer cells still in Michael’s prostate. The Oncologist formulated a treatment plan, and in conjunction with an Oncologist/ Radiologist, will use target-controlled radiation which is a new radiation therapy. This radiation treatment will be given 5 days per week for 4 weeks. This will be twenty trips to the clinic with a daily co-pay for each treatment. The clinic is in another city (Hammond, LA) which is a round-trip drive of 101 miles per day from our home.
We are asking for prayer coverage for Michael and prayer for the financial provision to cover the additional medical bills as well as the additional travel expense. We thank you for keeping Michael in your prayers that there will be no damage to any other organ or area from the radiation, no side effects, and that these treatments will, as the Doctor’s hope, free Michael from the need for quarterly chemical injections for at least two years. Thanks for your prayers. We sense the Lord in this treatment plan.
