About Our Ministry

Our Vision

Glorifying God: Blessing Israel, Serving Communities.

Michael & Patricia Bryan, under the covering of Isaiah 61 Ministries, are called to educate all nations to stand with Israel in order that God’s destiny for the Jewish People, the Nation of Israel, the “one new man” of the New Covenant and the world, would become a reality.  This includes teaching on respective roles of Jew and Gentile, God’s Feast Days and His calendar, Congregational government and order, refuting ‘replacement theology,’ combatting anti-Semitism, and blessing ‘the nations’ in fulfillment of Genesis 12:2 & 3.  We are guided by the words of Isaiah 61 and seek to glorify God and build His Kingdom.

Why is the name Isaiah 61 Ministries.

As a Jew, the story of Yeshua—the story of Jesus—has always resonated with me strongly.  It is the story of a Jewish Messiah, born of a Jewish mother, who proclaims himself to be the long-awaited savior of the Jewish people.

It is a story shared for centuries, passed down from generation to generation, and cherished as a cornerstone of the Jewish faith.  But it is a story that is also uniquely Jewish and carries a powerful message of hope and redemption.

Yeshua’s story begins with his birth in a stable in Bethlehem, his escape to Egypt to avoid Herod’s slaughter of the innocents, and his miraculous return to Israel as a young adult.  It is a story that follows Yeshua as he begins his public ministry, from his baptism in the Jordan River to the Sermon on the Mount and the healing of the sick.

But perhaps the most powerful moment in the story of Yeshua is when he reads from the Torah in the synagogue in Nazareth, proclaiming himself to be the Messiah.  It is a moment that still resonates with me, as it did with those who gathered in the synagogue that day.

When Yeshua reads the passage in the synagogue in Nazareth, he says, “Today this scripture is fulfilled” (Luke 4:18).  This was Jesus the Jew, using the Tenach—the Hebrew Bible—to prove that He was, indeed, the long-awaited Messiah.  It was a powerful statement, one that affirmed the Jewish faith in Jesus and the faith of those who followed him.

The story of Yeshua is a story that speaks of hope and redemption, faith and courage, love and grace.  It is a story passed down for centuries and continues to be shared by Jews worldwide.  As a Jew, it is a story that still resonates with me strongly and one that I will always cherish and honor.

Who We Are

The Bryan Leadership Team

For 41 years, the Bryans—Michael and Patricia—have dedicated their lives to ministry.  They have pastored in Houston and Maryland and ministered to many in the Baton Rouge area before moving to Israel in 2016.  There, Michael—an ordained Messianic Rabbi—served as CFO of the King of Kings Network in Jerusalem.  The Bryans also helped establish Kehilat Nachalat Yeshuateinu—a congregation in Jerusalem—shortly after arriving, and Michael currently remains on the Elders Board.

Throughout their ministry, the Bryans have celebrated and taught on the Feasts of the Lord—also known as the Feasts of Israel—in many congregations across the globe.  They have also conducted public Passover Seders in many cities, including a community Seder of 400 guests in Magnolia, MS, last year.

Teachings

Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.
